Greece Day 1

Today we arrived in Patras at around 10. the Med. Sea is beautiful along w/ Greece. so we got off the boat and got on a bus and it took us here to Athens. in athens we rested at the hotel for a bit then went out to eat and chilled. the food is amazing here!!

Italy/ Greece

today we got up at 5:20 it was horrible. we grabbed some breakfast and hit our high-speed train to Bernici. then we ate at a lil resturant. mom...u were right...don't eat a 2 day old hamburger...ugh!! i was pretty sick...but then we got on our over-night ferry at around 5 and got to watch us take off at 7. it was beautiful and we sang out on the deck at night and just had a great time on the ferry.

Rome Day 5

today instead of going to Pompei we went to Ostia Antica which was also made extinct by a volcano. today was the best day thus far. we climbed all over the ruins and went exploring it was great. then we came back to rome and ate some good italian food and gelatto!

Rome Day 4

today we got up early and went to Florence. we started touring around w/ the group and got tired of seeing more naked ppl and chapels so we went to different shops and just had an awesome day in italy

Rome Day 3

Today was our free day and we went to the Vatican City. and waited 2 hrs to see the Sistene Chapel. it was amazing. there was a bunch of other stuff too but i'm running out of time. Dr. T helped us understand stuff then we went to the Castel Sant'Angelo. then we went to the Fountains of Bernini, and gelatto. then we went to the Fountain of Trevi and the Piazza De Spagna then we got back and went to the most amazing italian resturant ever and i had cannaloni...its mouthwatering thinking about it.

today we got a call at 6;30...not a good thing. grabbed breakfast and caught a train to the Colliseum, it was the coolest thing i'd ever seen. then the rain hit...it was horrible...allllll day long. then we went to the Forum which is amazing but my batteries died so i don't have many pics. then we went to the Vatican City to see St. Peters but we just glanced at it and wen back to the hotel and got dry. we ate at the hotel then we watched a movie and then sang. it was a good day.

Rome Day 1

after getting off our 15 hr. train ride, we lost kim and than for a few hrs b/c they didn't get off at our train stop. and Ms. Raskoff got robbed. i felt bad for her. but we got to our "4 star" hotel and relaxed for the rest of the night, we had some good italian pizza.

Paris Day 5

Today started out good. Micah got yelled at, at breakfast for doing nothing. then we all threw our stuff in Dr. T's room then my lil group went to the Avenue Des Champs (where the tour de france ends) and we went in a lot of stores and chilled and had a nice day. then we went back to the hotel grabbed our bags and headed to the eurorail and got on our night train for rome...it was the longest ride of my life. we had a good time and fit 14 ppl in one room.

Paris Day 4

Today started out good...Ev, Ferg, Leah, and Nikki all slept in til 9...which was when we were to leave. so as soon as they got up we left for Versailles. its huge! so we went and saw how the rich lived it was really cool, then we self-toured Versailles. then we went back to Paris and did laundry...that was an adventure...then we went and ate pizza and the waiter was amazing!

paris day 3

today we went to Musee D'Orsay and saw more naked statues, paintings, and different pieces of "art". can u tell how much i love art? then we went to a prison where Marie Antoinette was kept. then we went to the Arche De Triumphe. i found out how rude the French are. Evan and i got kicked out of McDonalds for doing nothing. then we went to the top of the Eiffel Tower which was amazing!!

Paris Day 2

well today started by getting woke up by 3 ppl and cars and ppl, and sirens...city living-idk if i could do it. but any ways we got up at 8, ate our pastry breakfast, and left on the metro for the Louvre by 9:30. at the Louvre we saw many amazing things, most of which we weren't allowed to take pictures of so forgive me. after the Louvre we took the metro over to the Sacred Heart Church and the Taylors left us to ourselves. so our lil group saw the church then took the metro to Notre Dame and climbed the whole way to the top which was literally breath-taking we saw a couple get engaged at the top which was cool. then after trekking down we went back to the hotel met up w/ a group, and went to Hard Rock Cafe. after we ate we went to Moulin Rouge that was "interesting" then we came back journalled and went to bed.

Paris Day 1

well after we had a 7 hr trek across the atlantic, we arrived in paris at about 10:30. and yes to all of those sick sarcastic ppl out there, i did miss my steelers play, and that is why they lost, i apologize to all my fellow steeler fans we will mourn together in a moment of silence today lol...sooo anyways, we got to charles-dugalle airport. after arriving the taylors anxiously awaited outside the glass walls, jumping up and down as if we couldn't see them...i felt as if i was in a pet store looking for a pet and they were tryin to get our attention. we had our little pow-wow of do's/don'ts in the airport b/c the lobby of our hotel is the size of my dorm room at freed. so after getting out of the airport we took the metro to our hotel, dropped off our bags, and grabbed a bite to eat...i have learned that my jaw muscles apparently have not been exercised enough, b/c the bread is like chewing tire rubber lol. after we ate we came back to the hotel and rested for a while, then at 7 we met downstairs and went to Notre Dame area, it was really nice. we also saw the Shakespeare and Company book store. after visiting those briefly we went to the Eiffel Tower at night...it was amazing!...then we came back to the hotel exhausted so we went to sleep.

crunch time!

it is 2 days b4 we take off for Paris. i'm at Freed right now enjoying catching up with some of my fellow freed friends. i'm gonna miss them a lot but i'll be back here in january. well i hope my blog will be more interesting in the near future. i can't imagine that any of you actually are entrigued by any of this lol...

6 days til take off!

today is tuesday and i'm leaving friday morning at 2 am for henderson TN, ( a 12.5 hr drive), i will be staying there until sunday afternoon then driving to memphis, in memphis i will be staying w/ the priesters and they will be driving me to the airport to catch my flight to Paris...it is going to be a very hectic wk! i had to get my steelers in this somehow... i'm gonna miss them for 3 MONTHS...i'll be in withdrawal. if anyone would like to keep me informed on how they are doing while i'm over there i'd greatly appreciate it! i hope y'all have a great wk!

prep time!

well it's about a wk b4 i take off for TN, which i will be flyin out the 18th for paris. it hasn't really hit me yet that i won't be in the US until December...that's a long time. well idk much about this blogging business but hopefully i'll get the hang of it. i'm going to try to keep y'all updated on everything i do over there and please email me updates on events over here too. i'd appreciate it.
